Description
Kyosho W5181-55 is a genuine pair of short front shock springs rated at #55. In Kyosho's numbering, lower means softer, and with the kit springs sitting at #70 this pair is a meaningful step down in rate. A softer front spring lets the front end compress more and transfer weight forward, which builds steering grip and helps the front tires track through bumps rather than deflecting off them. It is the go-to change for loose, dusty, or rough surfaces where the car pushes through corners.
These are the short S-length springs specified for the front dampers on this chassis family, installing as a direct-fit tuning option in place of the kit springs. Fitment covers the Ultima RT5, RB5, SC, and DB along with the Lazer ZX-5 in its RTR, SP, FS, and FS2 versions. Since they follow the same rate scale as the rest of the W5181 series, moving up or down a step is straightforward. Package includes two matched front springs.
