Description
This Axial Front Upper Link Mount, Aluminum is a direct-fit upgrade for the AXP8 Gilamon 2.2, mounting to the steerable AF16P portal axle and replacing the stock mount with a more durable aluminum piece. Upper link mounts take significant stress from suspension articulation and impacts, making aluminum a meaningful durability improvement over the factory composite mount.
Because it's a genuine Axial part engineered specifically for the AF16P portal axle design, it's a direct-fit replacement using the axle's existing mounting points, without requiring any other axle modifications. Increased durability at this mount helps prevent suspension geometry changes or link mount failure from repeated hard impacts on the trail.
This is a functional durability upgrade rather than a cosmetic part, aimed at Gilamon owners who want a stronger front upper link mount for aggressive rock crawling. One aluminum front upper link mount is included per package.
