Description
This ARRMA slipper spring is the replacement tension spring for the slipper clutch assembly on ARRMA 1/10 vehicles. The spring is what sets the clutch's grip: compressed by the adjuster nut, it presses the slipper plates against the spur gear, and the amount of preload determines exactly how much torque passes through before the clutch slips to protect the drivetrain.
The spring is precision wound from durable spring steel for consistent pressure across its working range. Consistency is everything in this position — a fatigued spring loses rate as it heat-cycles, letting the slipper setting drift looser mid-session and turning a dialed clutch into one that slips unpredictably under power.
A fresh spring is standard practice during any full slipper rebuild alongside new pads, hub, and plate: reassembling worn friction parts against a tired spring leaves the clutch inconsistent no matter how carefully it's adjusted.
