Description
The ARRMA ARA330796 Shock Shaft set contains two 4x78mm shock shafts for the ARRMA Mojave 4S 4X4 BLX desert truck (ARA4404). The shock shaft rides through the shock cap and seal assembly and carries the piston inside the shock body, converting suspension movement into controlled damping.
These are the longer shafts in the Mojave 4S shock system, matched to the 143mm rear shock assemblies. The 4mm diameter provides the bending resistance needed for a truck that lands hard and carries drivetrain weight over the rear axle, and the polished surface is what allows the shock seals to slide freely without tearing or leaking.
Shock shafts take the brunt of any impact that reaches the suspension, and a bent shaft is one of the most common post-crash failures. Once a shaft is tweaked it binds in the seals, makes damping feel sticky or inconsistent, and rapidly destroys the O-rings, which leads to oil loss and unpredictable handling. Fitting a fresh pair restores smooth shock action and protects the rest of the rebuild. This is a direct factory replacement for the shafts fitted to the Mojave 4S at the factory, so it installs in the stock shock bodies with no modification and works with the standard pistons and hardware. Two shafts are included, enough for one pair of shocks.
