Description
The ARRMA ARA330793 Aluminum Shock Set is a genuine factory replacement shock assembly for the ARRMA Mojave 4S 4X4 BLX desert truck (ARA4404). This is the shorter of the two Mojave 4S shock sets and mounts at the front of the chassis, working between the front suspension arms and the front shock tower to control wheel movement, absorb landings, and keep the tires planted over rough desert terrain.
Each shock is built around a 15mm bore aluminum body with a 131mm overall length. The aluminum construction handles the heat and impact loads of high-speed 4S bashing better than plastic-bodied dampers, and the anodized finish helps resist scuffing and corrosion from dirt, water, and repeated cleaning. The set arrives factory assembled and factory filled with 300cSt shock oil, so there is no building, bleeding, or oil measuring required before installation.
This is a direct replacement for the shocks originally fitted to the Mojave 4S, so it drops straight into the stock mounting locations with no modification. It is a smart part to keep on the shelf as a spare, since bent shafts and leaking dampers are among the most common casualties after a hard landing or a roll. Rebuilding a damaged corner with a complete factory-filled unit gets the truck back out and running quickly.
