That binding shows up as notchy, inconsistent damping and rapidly destroys the O-rings, which then leads to oil loss and unpredictable handling.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe polished surface finish is equally important. Seals rely on a smooth shaft to glide against, and any scoring or pitting will cut them.
